Going for Gold

Curators Talk

We welcome you to a guided tour of the group exhibit Going for Gold at the House of Collections.

At the exhibit you'll find paintings and objects made by Finnur Jónsson (1892-1993) and Jóhannes Jóhannesson (1921-98), both of whom had trained as gold-/silversmiths before embarking on their careers in art. At the same time, members of the Association of Icelandic Goldsmiths present new works, which each goldsmith relates to a work of art in the exhibition Viðnám/Resistance at the House of Collections.

Attn. The event will be held in Icelandic.
Museum entrance fees apply.
