Friends of the National Gallery of Iceland

The Friends of the National Gallery of Iceland Fund has been established as a initiative to foster international fundraising efforts in support of the National Gallery of Iceland. This fund is a vital component in the National Gallery of Iceland's mission to strengthen its global presence and build meaningful connections within the international art community. By leveraging this fund, the National Gallery aims to acquire significant artworks from both Icelandic and international artists, as well as to host and support exhibitions and events that promote international cooperation and networking.

The fund will serve as a catalyst for enhancing the visibility of Icelandic artists on the global stage, enabling their participation in exhibitions abroad, while also bringing the work of international artists to audiences in Iceland. This reciprocal exchange is designed to enrich the cultural landscape, creating a vibrant dialogue between Iceland and the broader art world.

The Friends of the National Gallery of Iceland Fund is hosted by Myriad USA through the platform Every.org. Myriad USA is recognized as a U.S. public charity, qualifying under Sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to the fund are eligible for U.S. income tax deductions, as allowed by U.S. tax law, providing an added incentive for international donors to support this important cultural initiative.

Through this fund, the National Gallery of Iceland will not only enhance its collection and programming but also solidify its role as a significant player in the global art scene, fostering enduring relationships and cultural exchanges that transcend borders.
