  • Admission tickets are valid only for the specified date and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
  • Concessions and discounts must be verified with appropriate identification upon entry.
  • The Gallery reserves the right to refuse admission or remove visitors for inappropriate behavior or violation of these terms.

3. Conduct

  • Visitors must respect the artworks, facilities, staff, and other guests.
  • Touching artworks or displays is not permitted unless explicitly allowed.
  • Photography is allowed in most areas unless otherwise indicated. Flash photography, tripods, and commercial use require prior approval.
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

4. Events, Courses, and Programs

  • Registration for workshops, courses, and events is subject to availability and may require advance booking.
  • The Gallery reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events. In such cases, attendees will be notified, and refunds or alternative dates may be offered.

5. Website Use

  • All content on the Gallery’s website is the intellectual property of the National Gallery of Iceland or its content providers and may not be copied, reproduced, or redistributed without permission.
  • The Gallery is not responsible for any external websites linked from its site.

6. Liability

  • Visitors enter the premises at their own risk. The Gallery is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to property unless caused by the negligence of the Gallery or its staff.
  • Personal belongings should not be left unattended. Cloakroom services may be available but are used at your own risk.
