The National Gallery of Iceland offers a creative and exciting art workshop for children in the new atelier at the gallery located at Fríkirkjuvegur 7. The course will be based on the gallery's exhibitions, where the artworks will be explored, and the focus will be on developing participants' perception of color and form. Children will have the opportunity to experiment with different materials and work in various media, such as painting and sculpture.
The goal of the course is to encourage children to approach visual art with more confidence and curiosity, using methods that include experience, conversation, and hands-on work. At the end of the course, there will be an exhibition for friends and family to showcase the participants' work.
Children are advised to wear clothing suitable for painting, splashing, and fun!
The course is accessible to all.
