Ask the artist Þóra Sigurðardóttir & book launch
On the occasion of the exhibition Iron, Flax, Coal and Chalk: New works by Þóra Sigurðardóttir, the public will have the opportunity to ask the artist any questions that might arise on the works exhibited.

Museum entrance fees apply to the artist talk.

At 3 PM, we warmly welcome you to the book launch of Iron, Linen, Coal, and Chalk.

The book was produced between 2020 and 2024 and introduces the works of Þóra Sigurðardóttir. The book was developed partly in parallel with the preparation for the exhibition of the same name at the National Gallery of Iceland.

The book features images of works mostly created between 2016 and 2023, but also includes several pieces from 1992 to 1994 that are connected to the theme of the exhibition at the National Gallery of Iceland: everyday plans, space, drawing, and material properties. The book also includes photographs from the artist’s studio. It will be available at the National Gallery of Iceland and elsewhere as convenient.
