The Thought of Drawing
An expert-led tour of the exhibition The Thought of Drawing.
In Ingibjörg Guðmundsdóttir and Þorvaldur Guðmundsson´s art collection one can find around 300 drawings and other works on paper by Jóhannes S. Kjarval. The organizing principle of the works selected for the exhibition spanning the artist´s entire career and subjects - portraits of people, landscape and nature-related work and fantasies - was the diversity of subjects and methods. The exhibited works were completed with pencil, ink, pen, charcoal, carbon, crayon, water colour and oil on different surfaces.
