Cinema at the Workshop
The documentary Nothing Special (Martin Zarka, 2019), about the Danish photographer Joakim Eskildsen, will be screened. Duration: 38 minutes.

Eskildsen is widely known for his extended photographic essays on communities living on the edges of society. Joakim is one of five photographers participating in the exhibition The Intimacies of Everyday, currently on display at the National Gallery of Iceland.

Photography guidance – technical and artistic approaches.

Photographer Páll Stefánsson will welcome guests at the National Gallery of Iceland on Good Thursday and provide guidance on photography.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own cameras. This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and explore creative photographic projects. The gallery’s environment and exhibitions offer inspiration and opportunities for photography.

The event is suitable for both advanced photographers and beginners.

Admission: Entry to the gallery applies, but note that on Good Thursdays, guests can purchase an annual pass to the National Gallery of Iceland for the regular admission price.

The National Gallery of Iceland at Fríkirkjuvegur is open until 10 PM on Good Thursdays.
